About Me

I’ve always been interested in healthy living, but the importance of nutrition was highlighted to me when my son developed food intolerances as a toddler. With dietary changes and nutrients to  heal his gut, gradually his symptoms resolved. After this experience I realised that food can be powerful medicine, and decided to study nutritional medicine to help other people optimise their health.

I’ve also had my own health challenges and have found nutritional medicine invaluable in providing me with tools to keep me well in this often hectic world we live in.

I’m fortunate to live in a beautiful part of the world and love to grow some of my own produce in our little patch. I appreciate good quality dark chocolate, and eat this regularly, with pleasure and definitely without regret!

My approach

There is no ‘one right diet’ for everyone, because we are all individual, so I offer you personalised, individualised nutrition advice, tailored to your circumstances and addressing your health needs. I use whole food and a holistic approach to improve health and wellbeing.  I’m a bit of a nutrition nerd and love understanding the biochemistry of how a nutrient (or lifestyle) affects how we function. I love seeing the gains clients achieve in their energy levels, mood and general wellbeing from making relatively simple diet and lifestyle changes.

I work with clients to develop a healthy relationship with food and am definitely not an advocate of dieting or deprivation. Food can and should be  nourishing and enjoyable. I support my clients to make changes to their diet and lifestyle in small, achievable steps as for most people this is more sustainable in the long term than making radical changes that can be overwhelming.

Nutrition isn’t the sole factor involved in wellbeing, so where appropriate I will recommend other modalities or practitioners to help you achieve your health goals.
